Just returned from the best place on Earth

Just back from an amazing exploration of Iceland. We were there for 9 days and just barely scratched the surface of what there is to discover! It’s going to take me a long time to mentally process everything I saw and experienced. It’s also going to take a lot of work to sift through and edit the hundreds of photographs I took. This is the first, something to get the ball rolling.

The Church at Vik i Myrdal, southernmost village in Iceland. Roughly 290 people live here. The church is situated at the highest point in the village. The residents hold regular drills to practice evacuating to the church in the event of a sudden flood from the nearby Myrdalsjokul glacier.
